2012-13 Season
- This is her ninth international senior season.
- World Cup #1 in Heerenveen, Netherlands (Nov. 16-18): She won her first medal of the season, gold, in the 1500 m (1:56.35) on Nov. 17. In the first 500 m, she placed eighth (38.57) and in the second she was 15th (38.83). She was 10th (1:16.85) in 1000 m. She won a bronze medal in team pursuit.
- World Cup #2 in Kolomna, Russia (Nov. 24-25): She won bronze in the 1500 m (1:56.16) and was first (4:04.53) in the 3000 m division B.
- World Cup #3 in Astana, Kazakhstan (Dec. 1-2): She won gold (1:57.18) in the 1500 m and the team pursuit.
- World Cup #4 in Nagano, Japan (Dec. 8-9): She won the gold medal in the second 1000 m in 1:15.13 and took the silver medal in the first race (1:15.45). She place eighth (38.51 seconds) in the first 500 m and ninth (38.55) in the second race.
- World Cup #6 in Calgary (Jan. 19-20): She won the silver medal in the 1000 m in a season best time of 1:13.67. She was 10th (37.88) in the 500 m.
- World Cup Final in Heerenveen, Netherlands (March 8-10): She won gold (1:15.48) in the 1000 m. She took the bronze (1:56.86) in the 1500 m. She was 10th (38.36) in 500 m (1). She won the silver medal in team pursuit with Christ and Schussler.
- World All-Round Championships in Hamar, Norway (Feb. 16-17): She finished ninth overall. She won (38.60) the 500 m, fourth (1:57.47) in the 1500 m and 18th (4:18.13) in the 3000 m.
- World Sprint Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah (Jan. 26-27): She finished fifth overall. She was 12th (38.02 and 37.83) in both races in the 500 m, and won (1:12.91) the first in the 1000 m and was second (1:13.28) in the other.
- World Single Distances Championships in Sochi, Russia (March 21-24): She won the bronze medal (1:58.07) in the 1500 m and was fourth (1:16.02) in the 1000 m. She was also in the team pursuit which finished eighth.
- Canadian Single Distances Championships in Calgary (Jan. 3-6): She won the 500 m samalog title (76.34; 1st race 38.23, 2nd 38.11) for a fourth consecutive year. She was the 1000 m (1:14.84) and 1500 m (1:56.48) champion and won the silver medal in the 3000 m (4:09.79). She has now won the 1000 and 1500 three years consecutively.
- Final Canadian ranking: She ranked first in the 500 m and 1000 m, third in the 1500 m and fourth in the 3000 m.
2011-12 Season
This was her eighth international senior season ... She was world champion in the 1000 m and 1500 m at the World Single Distances Championships in Heerenveen (March 22-25). She also won silver in the team pursuit ... She was third overall at the World All-Round Championships, taking first place in the 500 m and 1500 m ... At the World Sprint Championships in Calgary (Jan. 28-29), she was second overall (148.610 points). She won both 1000 m races, setting the world record in the first (1:12.68) ... She won the first ever Grand World Cup overall standings with 116.25 points. She was also the World Cup point winner in the 1000 m and 1500 m. With Kali Christ, Cindy Klassen, Brittany Schussler and Brianne Tutt, she also won the season World Cup title for team pursuit. In five World Cups and the World Cup Final, she won eight individual gold medals and three in team pursuit, and two individual silver medals. At the World Cup Final in Berlin (March 9-11), she won gold medals in the 1000 m (1:15.04), breaking a track record, and the 1500 m (1:56.77). She also took the bronze medal in the 500 m ... At the Canadian Single Distances Championships (Jan. 5-8), she won four gold medals - 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and 3000 m ... Ranked first in Canada in the 1000 m and 1500 m, and fifth in the 500 m ... Received SSC’s Catriona LeMay Doan Award as the female long track skater of the year.

She holds the venue record in the 1000 m the Calgary Olympic Oval (1:12.68), Utah Olympic Oval (1:13.36 on Dec. 13, 2009), Alau in Astana, Kazakhstan (1:14.82 on Nov. 27, 2011), the Max Aicher Arena in Inzell, German (1:14.84 on March 12, 2011), IJsstadion Thialf in Heerenveen (1:15.01 on Jan. 22, 2011), Sportforum in Berlin (1:15.04 on March 11, 2012), and the 1500 m record in Kryslatskoje in Moscow (1:55.95 on Feb. 19, 2012).
Olympic Games (2): Competed in the 2006 and 2010 Olympics ... Was the gold medalist in the 1000 m in 2010 and was a silver medalist in women’s team pursuit in 2006.
World Sprint Championships (3): Competed at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 championships ... She won the 2011 title, winning both 1000 m races and placing third and sixth in the 500 m ... In 2012, she took the silver medal for the overall title, but again won both 1000 m races, setting a world record in the first.
World All-Round Championships (7): Competed at the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013 championships ... She won a silver overall medal in 2011 and a bronze in 2012 ... In 26 races, she won six, and was second and third twice.
World Single Distances Championships (7): Competed at the 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2013 championships ... She won seven individual medals (four gold and three bronze) and five in team pursuit (three gold, two silver) ... She started short track speed skating at the age of 12 and switched to long track at the age of 18 … She played hockey for the London Devilettes prior to trying short track speed skating.
