Mentorship Program
The Coaches Mentorship program is aimed at developing coaches at all levels (club, provincial, national and international). It also recognizes that coaching development objectives can and will vary. There are two distinct and separate programs:
- The Individual Coach Mentorship Program - Is intended for coaches who wish to master their skills and remain at the same level (eg. club or provincial level) as well as those few who aspire to become high performance coaches and coach at the national or international levels.
- The Camp Mentorship Program – The objective of the program is to provide seed money for an applicant province that is hosting a speed skating camp to acquire the assistance of a coach mentor in order to carry out events that will have a direct learning benefit to coaches in the Camp.
The coaching assignments will be identified by the Coaching Development Coin coordination with Speed Skating Canada's High Performance Committtees when the mentorship opportunites being considered are in a High Performance context.
