Mandate

The goals of the Coaching Development Committee are to ensure the development of NCCP material, training of Learning Facilitators (LF'S) and Master Learning Facilitators (MLF's) and implementation of the NEW NCCP coaches certification program in the branches; to initiate additional coaching education activities which provide for on-going development of Canadian long track and short track speed skating coaches; and to evaluate the status of coaching development.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL COACHES

In accordance with the Coaching Association of Canada's requirement to have all coaches regardless of level of certification successfully complete the Ethics On-line Evaluation in order to keep maintain their NCCP status, you are reminded that ALL speed skating coaches are required to successfully complete your Ethics On-Line Evaluation no later than 01 January 2009. 

To complete the Ethics On-Line Evaluation please:

  • Go the www.coach.ca
  • Click on the bottom box on the right side of the home page
  • You will require your CC Number to enter this area

The Ethics On-Line Evaluation takes 1.5 - 2 hours to complete.  A Pre Evaluation tool is available and coaches are encouraged to complete this before taking the actual evaluation.

Coaches who do not complete the Ethics On-Line Evaluation will not keep their current NCCP status and will be required to re-take the NCCP program.
