About the Canadian Junior Championships
The Canadian Junior Championships bring together the best skaters from across Canada in the Train to Compete stage of development (ages 15 to 19) -- the junior A, B, and C2 skaters who have attained qualifying time standards -- to crown a clear Canadian champion in each distance and age group. The Canadian Junior Championships are also used as a selection competition to select athletes to represent Canada at the ISU Junior World Cup and World Junior Championships.
The women’s distances are 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m and 3000 m and the men’s distances are 500 m, 1000 m, 1500 m, 3000 m and 5000 m.
