John Hurdis Outstanding Volunteer Award
This award was established by Speed Skating Canada in 1982 to underline the long and outstanding services rendered by John Hurdis of Toronto to the sport of speed skating.
This award is presented to a Speed Skating Canada member(s), whose outstanding service as a volunteer within SSC has resulted in a significant contribution to the advancement of speed skating at the national and/or international level, in a capacity such as, but not limited to committee members, competition and event planning, sport builder any other similar involvement.
Due its prestige, this award will only be presented at the discretion of the selection committee.
