Follow the Halifax 2011 Canada Winter Games from home!

The Halifax 2011 Canada Winter Games are set to start tonight with their Opening Ceremony. Speed Skating Canada will be well represented at the event with both short and long track speed skating in action. If you can't make it to Halifax to cheer on our up and coming speed skaters, you can still see the action by tuning in to RDS or TSN, or watching live webcast on http://canadagames.bellaliant.net/!

RDS and TSN will feature a lot of speed skating. First up will be a broadcast of the long track 1500m competition on RDS and TSN 2 on Sunday, February 13 from 1 to 3pm Eastern. Monday February 14th, it will be place to Canada's favorite short track event. The 500m short track competition will be presented on RDS and TSN from 2:30 to 5:30pm Eastern. Last but not least, tune in to RDS or TSN 2 on Thursday, February 17, to see the men and women's 1500m and relay short track races from 12:30 to 3pm.

Bell Aliant is a major partner of the Canada Winter Games in halifax, and as such, they will be offering live webcast of many sport events. Here is the schedule of all speed skating races that will be covered:

Saturday February 12 - Long Track Speed Skating from 8:30am to 2:15pm

Sunday February 13 - Long Track Speed Skating from 8:30am to 2:45pm and Short Track Speed Skating from 9:30am to 4:20pm

Monday February 14 - Long Track Speed Skating from 8:30am to 12:15pm and Short Track Speed Skating from 10:30am to 6:15pm

Wednesday February 16 - Long Track Speed Skating from 8:30am to 2:45pm and Short Track Speed kating from 9:30am to 5pm

Thursday February 17 - Short Track Speed Skating from 12:30pm to 3:30pm
