The 24hr Inline Montreal is an annual event during which teams of skaters, individuals or duo are challenged to complete as many laps as possible of a 4,3km circuit, for a 24 hour period. The event also serves as a fundraising for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.

There are five categories : elite (28km/h or more), fitness (20km/h or more), recreational, duo and solo. This year, the competition will be fierce, with 100 teams already registered, including 8 in the elite category.

“I’ve been a fan of inline skating for over fifteen years,” explained the spokesperson, Olivier Jean. “Inline skating is way more than a hobby, it’s also a training option that helped us capture the gold at the Vancouver Olympics. I’m really proud to be spokesperson for this unique event held in Canada. I’d like to invite everyone to live a memorable experience by taking on the challenge of the 24hr Inline Montreal!”

Olivier Jean will be a member of the Apex Racing Skates/IL Peloton Team along with captain Mathieu Turcotte and teammate Mathieu Giroux, both Olympic medalists, as well as Steve Robillard, Antoine-Gélinas-Beaulieu and Gabriel Chiasson-Poirier, all members of Speed Skating Canada’s short track development team for next season.
