Speed Skating Canada Appoints Krista Benoit as Director, Corporate Partnerships

Speed Skating Canada is thrilled to announce the appointment of Krista Benoit as Director, Corporate Partnerships effective immediately.

Krista Benoit has extensive experience in both the amateur and professional sport environments, having worked in the field of sports administration for over 15 years. She specializes in marketing, communications, sponsorship/fundraising and event planning and has worked with a variety of national sport organizations, multi-sport organizations and Ottawa-based community sport events throughout her career.

Benoit is no stranger to SSC, as she helped with preparations for Speed Skating Canada House in Richmond leading up to the 2010 Olympic Winter Games this past winter. Her most recent successes include event planning of the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance’s annual conference, Sport Events Congress, and management/development of Commonwealth Games Canada’s sponsorship and fundraising program for the XIX Commonwealth Games in Delhi this October.

Her duties with SSC will include the development of new sponsorship partnerships, partner servicing and the creation of new sponsorable properties for SSC. She will work directly with SSC’s core group of major sponsors which include Intact, General Mills, Hbc, Bell, Descente and Timex, to name a few.
