Speed Skating Canada welcomes new Manager, Marketing & Communications

Speed Skating Canada (SSC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mylène Croteau to the position of Manager, Marketing and Communications.

Mylène comes to SSC after two successful years as Communications and Marketing Coordinator with the Canada Games Council. She brings with her a variety of experiences in communications, media relations and events management, as well as a good understanding of the Canadian amateur sports system and major multi-sport Games.

Her duties at the Canada Games Council included providing leadership to Games host societies in the areas of communications, marketing, ceremonies and protocol, language services, community relations and sponsorship.

“As we start a new Olympic cycle after our recent success in Torino, we are happy to see Mylène join our staff”, explained Jean R. Dupré, Director General, Speed Skating Canada.

A Honours Communications graduate from the University of Ottawa, Mylène has been involved in sports for many years, either as an athlete, volunteer or administrator. She is now doing her Masters in Sports Administration part-time at the University of Ottawa.
