Speed Skating Canada’s CEO steps down

OTTAWA
– Marie-Claire Rouleau, president of Speed Skating Canada, announced today that the association’s chief executive officer, John-Paul (JP) Cody-Cox, was stepping down effective immediately.

“JP has done great work since joining us. The board of directors and I thank him for his dedication and integrity,” said Rouleau. “We were at a crossroads; the board had a different vision of the operations and governance for SSC. We have mutually agreed to part ways. We wish JP well in his future endeavours.”

Cody-Cox joined SSC in October 2010.

SSC’s board of directors will undertake a search for a replacement.
