2012-13 Season
This was Jamie’s sixth international senior season ... He set a personal best time in the 1000 m ... He placed 10th in the 500 m samalog and 14th in the 1000 m at the World Single Distances Championships ... He placed fourth overall at the World Sprint Championships, taking second place in both 500 m races ... 2011-12 Season

Started speed skating at the age of five ... His father Randy, a former Edmonton Oilers player, was an Olympic athlete 1980 and 1988 and his mother Kathy was a speed skater at the 1976 and 1980 Olympics ... His sister Jessica is on the short track national team and other sister Sarah was on the long track development team ... He was also a competitive hockey, baseball and volleyball player ... He was recruited through the Own The Podium recruitment program when he was a hockey player ... He is a member of Team Icespire along with teammates Danielle Wotherspoon, Gilmore Junio, Kate Hanly and Tamara Oudenaarden ... He is studying biological sciences at the University of Calgary ...
