Peter Williamson Trust Fund Bursary

In 1992, SSC's board of directors unanimously endorsed the establishment of a trust fund in memory of Peter Williamson. Peter was an Olympian skater, excellent coach and technical director of SSC. He was very much aware of the importance of a good education and was of the opinion that sport and education, in varying forms, could be combined; that the two could truly stimulate each other.
 
The trust fund offers four annual bursaries of approximately $750.00 each to deserving and promising skaters, the amount to be reviewed periodically:
  • Two bursaries are available for one female and one male athlete on the national or development team in short track, and 
  • Two bursaries are available for one female and one male athlete on the national or development team in long track.
