Be the difference - Cheerios Breakfast The Coaching Symposium closing plenary will be presented in two parts – the first part will unveil some of the new, exciting and innovative programs that Speed Skating Canada and True Sport will be launching this coming season to enable every Canadian to be a part of the Olympic experience and cheer on our Olympic speed skaters, while promoting a positive sporting environment for Life. The second portion will feature an informative and entertaining presentation from Dr. Frank Dick OBE, challenging each and every one of us to be the The Winning Difference in delivering speed skating programs and in our every day lives, elevating our game to a new level and to taking on new challenges. This session will be shared with athletes and coaches from the National Short Track Team as they prepare to kick off their pre-Olympic Training Camp. |

Post-Symposium Workshop for Coach Mentors and Organisers of Mentorship Activities |

David Morrison, a coach mentor and NCCP Master Learning Facilitator for speed skating will present an overview of how to implement an effective mentorship program in-line with the guidelines of SSC’s camp mentorship program. The session will also include some practical tips for setting up learning activities for coaches being mentored and how best to manage them as a mentor coach. This session is intended for coaches interested in becoming mentors, NCCP learning facilitators as well as clubs and branches interested in creating mentorship opportunities for developing coaches |
