About the World Junior Championships

The world junior championships are held every year. The distances for the men are 500 metres, 1,500 metres, 3,000 metres and 1,000 metres, and the women skate 500 metres, 1,000 metres, 1,500 metres and 3,000 metres. Eligible athletes must be 18 years or younger on June 30 in the summer prior to the championships.
