Speed Skating Canada, the national governing body for the sport of speed skating in Canada, is looking to fill the two newly created positions of Coordinator, Events (based in Montreal or Calgary) and Coordinator, Sport Development (based in Ottawa).

Job Description: Coordinator, Events

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications, the successful candidate will play a critical role in achieving Speed Skating Canada’s strategic business priorities as they relate to elevating the profile of one of the country’s elite sports on the road towards the 2022 Olympic Games through the organization and execution of world-class domestic and international events.

The primary work location for this position is Calgary or Montreal. Regular travel to events in Calgary, Montreal and Quebec City will be required, as well as regular weekend work.

Job Description: Coordinator, Sport Development 

Reporting to the Manager, Sport Development, the successful candidate will play a critical role in achieving Speed Skating Canada’s strategic business priorities as they relate to achieving sport excellence on the road towards the 2022 Olympic Games and beyond by facilitating a growth in participation, the development of speed skaters and the cultivation of sport leaders.

The primary work location for this position is the National Office in Ottawa. Regular travel to events in Calgary, Montreal and Quebec City will be required, as well as some weekend work.
