International senior seasons: 13 (1999-2003, 2004-2012)

2012-13 season

  • 2012 fall World Cup selections (Calgary, Sept. 14-16): He was 11th overall. He was fifth and 10th in the 500 m, seventh and 11th in the 1000 m and eighth in both 1500 m races.
  • Canadian Open Championships in Montreal (Jan. 18-20): He placed seventh overall. He was second in the 500 m, ninth in the 1000 m, 26th in the 1500m and seventh in the 3000 m.
  • National teams selections #2 in Montreal (March 8-10): He ranked eighth overall. He was fifth in the 500 m and 1000 m, 13th in the 1500 m and seventh in the 3000 m.
  • He was 11th overall in the final Canadian overall season ranking.

2011-12 Season
This was his 13th international senior season ... Competing in his 10th World Championships in Shanghai (March 9-11), he was world champion with the relay team ... After competing in four of six World Cups, his season classifications were: sixth in the 500 m (3 races), 21st in the 1000 m (1 race), 17th in the 1500 m (4 races) and season champion in the relay. He won gold in the 500 m in World Cup #2 in Saguenay (Oct. 28-30), and two bronze medals (500 m and 1000 m) in other competition. He also won two gold medals, a silver and bronze in the relay ... At the Canadian Open Championships in Saguenay (Jan. 13-15), he placed eighth overall. He took the silver medal in the 500 m, was eighth in the 3000 m, 10th in the 1500 m and 19th in the 1000 m ... His final Canadian ranking was sixth.

Olympics (3):
Competed at the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympics ... Won gold in the relay in 2002 and 2010, and silver in 2006 ... Won a silver medal in the 500 m in 2006 and bronze in 2010 ... Tied Marc Gagnon as the most decorated Olympian from Quebec (five medals).
World Championships (10): Competed at the 1999 to 2002, 2005 to 2007, and 2009, 2010 and 2012 championships ... He was world champion in the 500 m in 2005, 2006 and relay in 2005, 2006 and 2012 ... Also won two individual silver medals and one bronze, and three silver medals in the relay.

National competitions: In 10 Canadian Open Championships since 1996-97, he was second overall in 2005 and 2008. He was champion in the 1000 m in 1998 and 2005 and in the 500 m in 2008 ... He was ranked the top Canadian at the end of the 1999-2000 and 2005-06 seasons, was second in 2004-05 and third in 2008-09.
Awards: Named SSC’s Male Skater of the Year for short track in 1999, 2000 and 2006 ... Named 2006 Quebec Excellence Athlete at the Gala Sport-Québec.
