SALT LAKE CITY, USA - On the last international racing day of the long track speed skating season, Ivanie Blondin of Ottawa, Ont. captured a bronze medal in the mass start at the ISU World Cup Final in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Blondin worked with her teammate and fellow Ottawa native Isabelle Weidemann to lead the pack throughout the race. In a sprint to the finish, Blondin was passed by Irene Schouten of the Netherlands and Korea’s Bo-Reum Kim to finish in a time of 8:00.540 and take the bronze.
